Nice and friendly service. Not so cheap, sometimes very overpriced. Wonderful ambience, with a view of the pond. Fast service. Very good connections by bus, car and on foot.
We were there with 4 people. The menu is currently very limited, but that's okay. We were allowed to share a menu with 4 people. The recommendations advertised on the Internet were only listed on request. There was no card. The mussels, however, were "off". We ate very well. Both the steaks and the desserts were really tasty. The tobacco mill officially closes at 10 p.m. At 8:35 p.m., however, the waitress asked us to order or pay for the last round, as there wasn't so much going on. Apart from us, 4 (!) Tables were occupied at this point. We weren't quite out the door yet when the service staff wanted to lock the restaurant and was visibly irritated that there was still another person to use the toilet. This approach is impossible and overshadows the good food itself. We won't come any more. Annotation: Besides, I didn't write an email to the owner.
What should I do with a closed pub
Collection possible in accordance with all guidelines. Food of the usual quality.
Outstandingly professional, very friendly staff. The food excellent! The coffee could be stronger!
Delicious food with good value for money. Very good coffee surprise with fine delicacies. The staff is very friendly too.
Very nice service Excellent Saarland menus Refined with selected delicacies which go perfectly with it.
Friendly team, nice beer garden and good Saarland cuisine and freshly tapped Bruch beer. Like to be there
Home-style, tasty, good price-performance ratio. The staff is very friendly and you can rely on the chefs. The summer terrace on the pond is highly recommended! Gladly again.
Excellent, extremely attentive service. High quality of the food and fair prices. Thank you for the lovely evening.
CORONA REVIEW SEPTEMBER 2020 Today we went back to the tobacco mill in St. Arnual for the first time in 10 years. During the pandemic you sit very nicely outside and there is enough space between the chairs. The outside area could be in better shape. You can tell that there was no investment here for a while. Tidying up a little more, painting the railings and replacing walls would create a higher quality atmosphere. The small playground could also be renewed a bit. (But that's high-level criticism) Service was good, even if the ladies needed some time as there is a lot going on. An accurate mask was worn and the tables were disinfected in an exemplary manner. You don't see that in many restaurants anymore. The food took a My too long, but it was delicious. The kitchen delivers solid cuisine from the 1970s / 1980s with very good schnitzel, “Gefillde”, grilled Lyoner rings or salads. The ice cream is delicious too, but not the “hipster” variety. I can't comment on the condition inside the restaurant, as we didn't want to go inside. Absolute recommendation! 👍
Overpriced ... Steak 24 euros, 12 loose, greasy, overly spicy mussels 7 euros and a side salad that reminds me of a kebab shop. The ambience and the friendly waiters can't be too great either. What a shame...
You can sit outside, nice service. Good menu. Everything perfect.
The food is good. The prices are right. The service is friendly / funny. The outdoor area, with its seating and the evening lighting concept, would do with a refresh.
Very good restaurant with a varied menu. Very, very nice courteous staff. nice beer garden! Any time!
Nice restaurant, nice beer garden great location right on a pond! Nice staff quick service! Food was delicious, unfortunately only a small menu. Definitely reserve in advance because it gets quite crowded in the evening!
Absolutely to suggest! Very friendly service and really delicious food. A very pleasant atmosphere inside and outside.
It's been a few weeks now since after the first Corona relief, the restaurants had reopened under certain conditions. So I decided on Saturday, May 30th. to invite my mother to dinner in the tobacco mill in Saarbrücken. On the website it was pointed out that, according to the currently applicable rules, a reservation is necessary. I complied and reserved a table for 2 people in the terrace area. The first impression of what is here is well organized to suit the situation. The tables had the appropriate distance, there were arrows on the floor to regulate the "foot traffic", so that unnecessary contact between the guests was largely avoided. At the entrance you were welcomed in a friendly manner, advised of the obligation to wear a mask and accompanied to the table according to the reservation. Here you had to fill out a small form which is needed to narrow down any new infections that may occur and to be able to identify the contacts more quickly. The card was sealed in large format on the table (1 sheet with two printed sides - 1st side food, 2nd side drinks). Everything was meticulously clean. The service staff was very attentive and friendly. The drink order was quickly taken up and served. In the meantime, the terrace area filled up more and more. Here you could see the good organization of the service when assigning the tables. Everything went perfectly. A big compliment to all guests. Everyone adhered to the mask requirement when entering the tobacco grinder and also when leaving the table, e.g. when going to the toilet. The meal order was taken and after a short wait the food was on the table. Great preparation, fresh ingredients and a visually appealing presentation on the plate. In terms of taste, the whole thing was as I was used to in the tobacco mill from my experience. It was a real treat. Some guests only came for a drink, other guests enjoyed the really good food. It was coming and going. The good organization and the adaptation to the Corona conditions were also evident here. Tables and chairs were extensively disinfected by the guests after leaving, the menus were collected and replaced with new, freshly disinfected ones. Conclusion: The tobacco grinder copes very well with the restrictions as gastronomy. Everything is well organized and the team works well together. The dishes were great as always, and we felt very comfortable because of the, but very small but justified, requirements. Hence the appeal of enjoyment unlimited: supports the local gastronomy. Gastronomy is an important cultural asset in the Saarland region!
Food and the atmosphere were really good but the Kelner were partly too friendly. I sometimes had the feeling that the Kelner talked to me like a kid. But that is the only criticism
The Tabakmühle is a nice restaurant which is a bit older and needs a modernization. That was also everything to moan. The food tastes delicious and you wait is short. The waiters are very nice and competent. The tobacco mill is beautifully situated on the edge of St Arnual on a lake, very idyllic. Recommendation: Here you can eat delicious !! 👍👍👍 (3/3)
Amazing view, food is good
Excellent food and service. I highly recommend them.
Saarland cuisine like from grandma! Great ambience. Located directly at the Tabaksweiher. If the weather is good, however, you can expect longer waiting times due to the high rush. With the Daaler Wurschdsalat you can do absolutely nothing wrong!
Very good restaurant. With a very wide menu with local specialities. Additionally fantastic craft brewery on site with fantastic choice of beers. The location is beautiful.
We had a great time with 5 people. The outside is very nicely situated at a lake. The food was delicious and the portion size more than enough. I had the Semmelrolle with market vegetables for a reasonable 12,50. The biggest surprise was how attentive the waiters were. They were quick, super friendly and very helpful. Really not used to this good of a waiting staff anymore. Thoroughly recommended.
Lovely atmosphere, especially in summer. Food always presented nicely. Good Service.
